Our Awana Clubs are a fun addition to your week that the whole family will look forward to!

Wednesdays, 6:00–7:30 PM during the school year · Ages 2–18 · Kennebec Valley Baptist Church, 91 Marston Rd, Waterville

Every Wednesday during the school year, Kennebec Valley Baptist Church fills up with kids aged 2 to 18! Awana at KVBC is games, Bible teaching, and fellowship, run by leaders care and pray for your child. New families are welcome any week of the year, so you don’t have to wait for September to start.

Awana itself is a nonprofit ministry that has helped churches teach children the Bible since 1950. The idea behind it is straightforward, and it shapes every Wednesday night here: a child should belong to a church family, know what the Bible actually says, and grow into an adult whose faith holds up on its own.

While club is running, there is a prayer meeting for adults here at the church from 6:45 to 7:30 that we would love to have you join us for!

Nights your kids will talk about

Alongside the weekly rhythm of games, handbook time, and Bible teaching, we run themed nights through the year. A few of the ones kids ask about:

  • Grand Prix — kids build a small wooden car and race it down the track.

  • Awana Store — clubbers spend the points they have earned all year on real prizes.

  • Bring a Real Friend (BARF) Night — Bring a Real Friend. It’s a gross name. The kids love it.

  • Drive-in Movie Night — Kids make their own cars out of boxes, and we eat an unfortunate amount of popcorn.

  • New Hampshire Games Day — a road trip to play games with other churches that have Awana Clubs.

  • New Hampshire Bible Quiz — churches across New England compete to show what they’ve learned in their handbooks.

  • Missions Night — missionary family comes to speak with our clubs about their mission.

  • Loco Cocoa — hot chocolate, and a great deal of it.

  • Step Up Night — clubbers move up to their next club and see what it’s like for the night.
